Vidja Games

As sad as it is to admit, I play my fair share of video games. When I say fair share, I mean more than my fair share. And when I say more than my fair share I suppose it's more along the lines of I should really get a life. That said, I am hear to deliver to all six (it's up to six after Sisson claimed himself a reader) the top five video games ever. This is obviously not a fair list due to all of the great games produced over the years.

I have a few restrictions for this list. I will not include EA Sports games, or any other sports games aside from one, or two. This is because there are too many Madden and NCAA's that they would dominate the list, and I don't want that. Only one, or two, sports title will be included in the list. To find out what it is, continue reading.

The other restriction, I don't allow games that aren't played exclusively with normal controller associated with its respective system. That means you Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero is too new for me to rate, and I haven't been able to get all of it in to compare it the video game industry's greats.

Moving on, here is the list....

5)Little League World Series - NES
One of the original baseball games ever created. Very simple controls, and some great graphics (for it's day), and a great set of teams to choose. Hell, the kids even do that old fashioned thing where they put their hands on the bat to see who bats first. It's wild, because you never know exactly what's going to happen. Aside from the fact that there is only two different scenarios to been seen by the gamers. More importantly, what really cheeses me off....How come there is still no LLWS games available for more up to date console? Would that not sell like a hotcake? (or a flapjack/pancake, pending on your geographical origin) But come on, EA Sports has too much money. Would it kill them to invest in a LLWS game or a lacrosse game?

4)Super Mario World - Super Nintendo
There is a lot of fucking Mario games, so to single out one is a tough thing to do. But in my opinion, this one clearly stands tallest amongst them all. The main reason....Despite the fact that there is well more than two hundred levels in the game, nobody has ever beaten it. I mean, everyone has beaten Bowser, thats a given. But who has beaten all the secret levels in Star Land. Then beaten the Wild land with levels such as "Radical" and "Tubular." Time to face facts, nobody is going to ever know how this game ends. That's one of the reasons as to why it's so amazing. Also, there is like four Yoshis and like a bijillion lands and shit. It's pretty serious. If anyone has beaten all the levels, please let me know, I want to know how it goes down.

3)World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 - Playstation 2
This is the most recently released game to make the top five. Although I tried to avoid having a running chain of sports games enter the list, I feel this monstrosity of a game cannot be denied. I maintain that this game boasts a more fun exhibition mode than any other sports game ever made. I have been playing it for more than a year and it is still yet to get old. The only knock on this knockout of a game is that Konami didn't get all of the licensings from all of the teams and players. Whereas FIFA has all real names for teams and athletes. But you can edit that easily, and the gameplay in this is so remarkable and realistic that you easily forget its few flaws.

2)Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow - Gameboy Color
Allright. I assume I am going to recieve my fair share of criticism by ranking this game so high. But in all honesty, this game was incredible. If you didn't play Pokemon as a child, and you're a right handed individual between the ages 15-18, then you're gay. It's not assumption but actual fact. One of the world's first great role playing games. Developed story lines with many objectives to achieve along the way to becoming a Pokemon master. This will always be one of my favorite games ever.

1)Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Playstation 2
It would be fair to say that Grand Theft Auto III, or Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, could be number one. But I feel this one takes the cake. It has three cities, a desert, and a back country. All of which are larger than Vice City. I don't like the hoodrich Carl Johnson, or his Grove Steet fags. But this game had people like The Game (B-Dup), James Woods (Mike Toreno) and Samuel L Jackson (Officer Tenpenny). This game is greatly improved upon from the other two games, plus there is casinos and a bunch of other cool shit (jetpacks and planes). To read more about the phenomenon of this game, enjoy this....

That was my second Blog posting ever. To think in 7 short months I am up to 56. Makes me wonder what I am really doing with my life. Those are my rankings. I expect people to make cases for lots of other games that I was to lazy to write about. And I am almost positive that if I didn' mention it right now that somebody would quote Billy Madison. Actually, somebody still probably will.
