Boron!
--Apologize for being mad lazy....but by now you should know that about me. My Pokemon March Madness tourney didn't work out the way I wanted to because I was unable to work out a presentable bracket and it was too much work to write it all out. Mewtwo was the only #1 seed not to make the final four because he was knocked off by the #2 seed Machamp. The final four included a Machamp vs Charizard match-up where Charizard flew around the arena occasionally spitting fire at the land planted Machamp. In the other round we saw an unlucky draw for Blastoise as he found himself matched up with the legendary Zapdos. In a fairly easy effort Zapdos managed to bounce back from an early Hydro Pump and land a thunder on the opposition. Just hours after that we witnessed a truely memorable battle. Completely airborn for three hours Charizard and Zapdos duked it out. When Charizard was down to just 10 HP he captured Zapdos in the notorious firespin maneuver which stabilized Zapdos and gave Charizard the championship. Congratulations to all of those who came out, and hopefully I don't screw a really sweet idea like that up as bad as I did this time.
--Speaking of March Madness tournaments, the fan-favorite Little Giants are still very alive in the 1st annual breast cancer 3 v 3 basketball tournament. Coming into the tournament we were deemed one of the worst teams out there. But we proved everybody wrong!!!!....and managed to pick up Sean Carbonell. Regardless, with the Ramos/Washington/Vazquez/Martello team eliminated we are the favorites heading into the elite eight. We face a tough Majied led team next round and will certainly need to bring our a-game (looking at you Sean)
--With our lax season just around the corner I have decided against doing a season preview. Last year our expectations were fairly low coming into the season so I couldn't think I could jinx anything by writing an entertaining, yet very informative season preview. This year we have a lot to play for so I'm not going to write anything about us. Look for the real news if you want to know what's up with the Lancer lax squad.
--I never thought I would say this, but I think it's time for Will Ferrell to move on. In his last four movies he has been the exact same character. I know, they have been unbelievable roles, but as I sat watching his last epic tale, Semi-Pro I realized it's losing its luster. Anchorman and Talladega Nights were absolutely epic. Blades of Glory and Semi-Pro just couldn't compare in my opinion. Obviously the supporting cast is extremely significant in how good the movie is. Anchorman had the legendary Channel 4 News team, and Talladega Nights had Shake 'N' Bake along with Sasha Cohen. Blades of Glory had John Herder, and Semi-Pro had Andre 3000. Seriously, the Andre 3000. Maybe it's not Will Ferrell doing the same character over and over again, maybe it's just the supporting cast, but I think it's time he explores some new roles.
--With spring training in full swing (get it...full swing!!! oh yeah!!) I would like to announce I am excited about the upcoming baseball season. Bet you thought there was going to be more to this, but nope....just excited.
--NFL action is under-way and I am sad to announce that the Broncos have cut, in my opinion, two of their best players in WR Javon Walker and OLB Ian Gold. Walker was hurt all last year and was demanding trades anyways, so I understand why he's out, but Ian Gold is one of the top OLB's in the league and has been a staple in this defense for the last five years. I don't know where the Broncos are going, but it doesn't seem like the Chargers are getting any worse anytime soon. Shit
