Who the Heck is Tom L.?
..
--Our once undefeated and Spartan like Lancer Lacrosse team has slipped from 3-0 to 4-2 in just five days. That's OK though. Thomas is one of the best teams in the county, and we hadn't played a game in over 2 and a half weeks before we played Aquinas. No worries though, we're going to bounce back. We're still 1-1 in the division and 3-1 in out of division games. Our offense has been stifled in the last three games, as we have failed to reach the 10 goal mark in any of our last three games. Games against HFL and Greece tonight and on Saturday will give us a chance to bounce back from a tough start to a week.
..
--Speaking of Saturday the much anticipated NFL draft is coming up. Nobody knows for sure what's going to happen, aside from maybe Chris Mortenson. The Raiders need a quarterback, that's for sure, but what's not for sure is what Al Davis is going to do with that pick. The obvious choice is for them to grab Jamarcus Russell, but I'm sure Paulie Walnuts over there in Oakland will be more than willing to trade down to get a veteran.
..
I hope somehow that the Buffalo Billys end up with Adrian Peterson. Peterson is a man-child who attempted to come out of high school into the draft the year that Clarrett tried to beat the system. If the Bills can draft him, they immediately get a running back that can take it to the house every time he touches the rock. They are probably going to have to give a lot to get up that high to grab him, but I don't see anything else in this draft that can help them as much as he can. Obviously their safe pick would be to draft Patrick Willis or Reggie Nelson, each of which are great players, but neither of which are quite on the level that Peterson is at.
..
--In regards to a previous posting topic, I think I need to defend myself. I think that it's failry obvious that aside from Tom L in baseball (The obvious pick), that Roger Federer is the most dominant athlete in the world right now. He has won 10 majors at the age of 25 while Tiger Woods has won 12 at the age of 31. If someone was to say that Federer would score 20 majors in the next six years, I would believe them. The competition just isn't there, and he knows that. He is something else and always seems to close. Whereas the once impenatrable Tiger Woods couldn't close on a Masters when it was his for the taking. The winner shot over par. Do you think that if Andy Roddick had 35 unforced errors that he would beat Federer. Exactly. There is now way to actually compare these two because their respective sports are so different, but I think because of age and recent success Federer has the edge.
..
--Speaking of Edge (And no, these traansitions seem to happen, they aren't planned), Backlash is this Sunday. I probably will not be ordering it due to Entourage and Sopranos, but I'm fairly certain that it would be exciting. Although the headliner was the fatal four-way for the championship (and I am certain that it would be a great match), I would much rather watch the Last Man Standing Match between the Undertaker and Batista. Their match at Wrestlemania was nothing short of fantastic whereas the main event between Shawn Michaels and John Cena was mediocre. Although I am a huge Orton and Michaels fan, and I also like Edge. As long as Cena doesn't win I will be ok.
..
--Speaking of not winning, how about the Yankees. I understand that it's early in the season and that we're a little banged up, but come on. Losing to teams like the Devil Rays is just embarassing. But there is confidence yet. Shane-O-Mac was talkin' a lot of shit the other day in Spanish class about the sweep. This was understandable, but he wouldn't shut up about it. So I threw out the ol' I'll bet you one hundred dollars that the Yankees win the division. he immediately shut up. There is still a confidence, even in the wake of a three game sweep, that the Yankees are the team to Beat in the east. Although we aren't quite as successful thus far as our NL foes from Queens.
..
--Speaking of Queens, Entourage hasn't done much this year. There has been laughs, and I have thouroughly enjoyed every episode, but we haven't gotten anywhere. Vince hasn't done a movie since Aquaman, yet there seems to be an endless amount of money. Ari is becoming a pussy, although he did bounce back at the end there. Drama is still the man though. You know you're a bad ass when you can throw out the "Bro's right, the whispering stops now! Or nobody's gettin' a souphley at dinner tonight." That's intimidation.
..
--Speaking of intimidation, Tony Soprano is very intimidating. In each of these subpar episodes thus far Tony has at least at one point let either Bobby, Christopher, or Paulie think that he was going to whack them off (haha). I think that he's going to go through with this for everybody in his crew than it will culminate in his death. Because right now, nobody should fuck with Phil Leotardo. He is the American Bad Ass right now. Also the American Douchebag by killing off everyone he talks to, but whatever you gotta do bro.
..
--Speaking of killing people for success, Which do you prefer, Coca Cola, or Pepsie Product. Personally I have always been partial to Pepsi because of the Mountain Dew, but now I'm curious to see what all five of my readers like. That means you Sisson.
..
--BTW, Sisson might be the man at faceoffs, but his shit is whack in wiffle ball.

Makin' Movies, Makin' Songs, and Foightin' 'Round The Wurld!

--Spring break has been good. Haven't accomplished anything yet (I consider this a good thing when on vacation). I have played a lot of video games (I consider this a good thing when on vacation). I have slept tremendously, and I have "gone campin" enough times to last a life time. If you who missed that last You Me and Dupree reference, just pretend I went camping this week. Despite not contributing to society in any way shape or form, I have had a good time. Smackdown/Tiger Woods have given me some great times over the course of the last week. It's just very sad that Spring Break is comin' to a close.

--Due to weather problems, our lacrosse team has only played three games thus far. 3-0 is as good as it gets so far, but because we have played less games, our scoring leaders are falling rapidly off the section V leader board. Brandon, Eugene, Alex, and myself all found success early on, but have been unable to pat stats because lack of gameage. All is well though, a couple games against Greece loom in the distance.

--The NFL draft is on the NFL Network. I want to kill myself.

--The Yankees should trade for Dontrelle Willis. He's really good.

--I think Brady Quinn will have a better NFL career than Jamarcus Russell. This is a terrible prediction because Russell is bigger, faster, and has a better arm. I just feel that coming out of the Charlie Weis offence, Quinn is already polished enought to be a successful quarterback in this league.

--Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are head and shoulders above everyone else in the NFL at their position. That said, Manning is head and shoulders above Brady. But Brady is put in the talks with Manning not based on how many superbowls he has won, but how many super models he has knocked up in the last three months. High Five Tom!!!

--Nazareth beat RIT is overtime 13-12. A really phenomenal game where I legitamately wasn't sure who would win throughout the game. RIT was up 12-11 with less than a minute left. There was also this kid who ran up and down the sidelines with an RIT flag every time the Tigers scored. His last trip down, some guy from the Naz faithful exclaimed "YOU SUCK!" The little man stopped and looked up, but didn't stop his sprint. That's dedication. Another big note from this game....Throught the match, there was this one Naz player (#8) who was tall, pale, and boasted a long red mullet. Being nice, he was one of the most disgusting human beings I had ever seen. We kind of joked around that #8 was a playmaker, and that he was a gamer. Then he finally got in the game in overtime on defense, picked up the ground ball, ran down the field, and netted the game winner. A real zero-to-hero story. This guy was a real Melvin. Now he's going to get all the Lacrosstitutes that Naz can afford. Yay capitalism!

--Tiger Woods didn't manage to capture his fifth Masters tournament, despite it being ripe for the picking. He played like he did in the '04 Brisith Open, but still had a legitamate chance to win. When Tiger plays bad he still comes in second. Does that mean he's that much better than everyone else, or does the competition just blow big balls? Or both?

--Now that we're on the subject, who do you believe is the most dominant athlete in sports. Tiger in golf, Federer in tennis, Kobayiashi in Hot dog eating, Kobe in basketball, Grant Catalino in lacrosse, or Tom L. in baseball? Feel free to leave your opinions...God knows I love comments.

TUGGA

--The Oracle released it's third edition. Thanks to the Eastridge English department, and some gracious funds sent by central office, we can still make one more edition. Since it will be released in June, it's going to be the big one. 8 pages, and possibly some color. Needlessly to say, this is very exciting news.

--John Grant JR. (Phenomenal lacrosse player) moved next door to Mr. Edwards. He doesn't think it's that big of a deal but I do. I want to BBQ with the both of them. Also I think it would be cool to have somebody who is fairly well known to live next door to me. Although I know that I would become one of those weird neighbors who constantly throw shit in the famous guy's lawn just to go talk to him.

--Lacrosse team is 3-0. Despite being the first Eastridge team to do so, Jobson claims that he liked his 0-9 team better than us. I suppose that can be credited to our laid back, have fun style of play (specifically in practice), but it's not our fault. How are we supposed to take it so seriously when we have coach Wahl behind Jobson making faces and things of that nature. But Jobson gave us a pretty serious break (nothing until Tuesday, and on that Tuesday we are attending a Syracuse-Cornell game. Should be a lot of fun), and we will be better rested for when we return.

--The Florida Gators have captured their third straight national championship (Basketball, Football, Basketball). I think it's safe to say that the U of F is clearly the most dominant college in the country when it comes to sports. To think that after all of their success in the last year, they are still the frontrunners for next year's football championship. Good times for Gator Fans

--Aside from the Patriots, the only team in the AFC that has improved this offseason (thusfar) has been the Denver Broncos. We are making legitamate moves that will make us contenders for this upcoming season. Even more significant than the Bronco's offseason moves have been the front office moves by division rivals. The San Diego Super Chargers just hired Norv Turner. Norv is a great guy I'm sure, and hell he's a good offensive coach. But has the man ever been successful as a head coach? I can't remember him being any good in Oakland, Miami, Dallas, or Washington. I'm very optimistic about the Bronco's chances for the upcoming season. The draft should be exciting as well. At the very least I get to look at Mel Kiper JR's hair. I mean, come on, he's got a great head of hair.
