TUGGA
--The Oracle released it's third edition. Thanks to the Eastridge English department, and some gracious funds sent by central office, we can still make one more edition. Since it will be released in June, it's going to be the big one. 8 pages, and possibly some color. Needlessly to say, this is very exciting news.
--John Grant JR. (Phenomenal lacrosse player) moved next door to Mr. Edwards. He doesn't think it's that big of a deal but I do. I want to BBQ with the both of them. Also I think it would be cool to have somebody who is fairly well known to live next door to me. Although I know that I would become one of those weird neighbors who constantly throw shit in the famous guy's lawn just to go talk to him.
--Lacrosse team is 3-0. Despite being the first Eastridge team to do so, Jobson claims that he liked his 0-9 team better than us. I suppose that can be credited to our laid back, have fun style of play (specifically in practice), but it's not our fault. How are we supposed to take it so seriously when we have coach Wahl behind Jobson making faces and things of that nature. But Jobson gave us a pretty serious break (nothing until Tuesday, and on that Tuesday we are attending a Syracuse-Cornell game. Should be a lot of fun), and we will be better rested for when we return.
--The Florida Gators have captured their third straight national championship (Basketball, Football, Basketball). I think it's safe to say that the U of F is clearly the most dominant college in the country when it comes to sports. To think that after all of their success in the last year, they are still the frontrunners for next year's football championship. Good times for Gator Fans
--Aside from the Patriots, the only team in the AFC that has improved this offseason (thusfar) has been the Denver Broncos. We are making legitamate moves that will make us contenders for this upcoming season. Even more significant than the Bronco's offseason moves have been the front office moves by division rivals. The San Diego Super Chargers just hired Norv Turner. Norv is a great guy I'm sure, and hell he's a good offensive coach. But has the man ever been successful as a head coach? I can't remember him being any good in Oakland, Miami, Dallas, or Washington. I'm very optimistic about the Bronco's chances for the upcoming season. The draft should be exciting as well. At the very least I get to look at Mel Kiper JR's hair. I mean, come on, he's got a great head of hair.
